Adult Beginner Pottery Course

Immerse yourself in the art of creating beautiful pieces from clay, learning the essential techniques of throwing on the wheel, trimming, handle making, and glazing. Our instructor will be by your side, providing guidance and support as you explore your creative potential. Nestled in a peaceful, nature-themed studio, you’ll find inspiration in your surroundings as you create unique pieces of pottery. With a 25lb bag of clay provided for each student and the opportunity to keep up to 8 finished pieces, you’ll have plenty of material to work with as you learn and grow in this exciting medium. Relax in a comfortable and ambient environment, surrounded by the beauty of nature, and let your artistic talents flourish in this inspiring and fulfilling class. Preparing for class: – Wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty – Closed toe shoes recommended – Trim down nails as having long nails do interfere with the process and can make the process difficult – Bring your own apron – Class fees cover everything from instruction to clay, glaze, firing, and use of studio tools We highly encourage students to attend all scheduled classes, as make-up sessions do not offer the same level of guidance as regular sessions.
