Born in Finland and now based in New York, Olli Soikkeli is a master of Django-style Gypsy jazz, acclaimed for his swinging, lyrical playing on stages from Europe’s top jazz festivals to New York’s Town Hall, Birdland, and the Blue Note. Joining him is Italian-Brazilian seven-string virtuoso Cesar Garabini, a leading voice of Brazilian choro whose work has been featured at Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Museum of Modern Art, NPR, and NBC. Together, they bring two rich musical traditions into an intimate, spirited conversation that blends dazzling technique with deep, soulful groove.
