Originally from Bradford, England and now based in the U.S., Lady Bushra is the drag persona of comedian Amir Dean, blending British observational comedy with political satire, immigrant storytelling and brutally honest cultural commentary. The material being developed in this performance forms part of Bushra’s upcoming comedy special; a theatrical stand-up project exploring identity, migration, religion, family and modern culture through the perspective of a British South Asian comic trying to make sense of America.
