Inspired by a diverse group of close friends with a common bond: delicious food, quality craft beers, and making memories. From this, Common Theory Public House was born in 2014.
Our objective from the beginning: to build a warm, friendly space where everyone is welcome, and a place where there’s always something amazing available to eat and drink to suit anyone.
We offer a rotating selection of over 30 craft beers on tap at any given time, sourced from the most popular breweries in San Diego County, throughout California, and the US.
Our kitchen focuses on enhancing and elevating simple, natural ingredients found in San Diego and throughout California using contemporary cooking sensibilities of different ethnic backgrounds.
The symbiotic culture clash of our Korean-Chinese-Mexican-American background genuinely showcases itself in Common Theory’s ambiance, food, and drinks; demonstrating one common story of many of what it means to be Californian.
