Baca, a Medal of Honor recipient who is from the area.  He received the Medal of Honor after saving his men from a grenade during the Vietnam War.  Even after receiving the Medal of Honor, John Baca continues his humanitarian work overseas and works with fellow Gold Star families who have lost loved ones.
