Dr. Sparrow was born and raised in Southern California. He was fortunate to have an incredible public education system available to him. He earned a dual bachelor’s degree in biochemistry/cellular biology at the University of California San Diego. That degree served as a prerequisite to earn his spot at the University of California Los Angeles School of Dentistry.

Even though dental school was rigorous, he still managed to enjoy his time in Los Angeles by living on Venice Beach. However, the best thing that happened to him there was that he met his wife, Mary, on UCLA’s dental clinic floor. She was there studying to become a dental hygienist. After graduating, they got married and started their family in San Diego, where Dr. Sparrow grew up. There, they had their baby Bruin named Megan. They are very proud that Megan decided to follow in their footsteps to attend UCLA. She is there today studying biochemistry/cellular biology to earn her prerequisites for her journey into medicine. Whenever the Sparrows visit her, it always feels like home. They are forever grateful for all that UCLA gave them and is giving their daughter.
