San Diego Korean United Methodist Church
Founded in 1978, our church was one of the first churches established in the San Diego area . We strive to faithfully fulfill
our mission of serving and worshipping God together with first- and second-generation immigrants . We strive to be a church that balances community and world missions, personal salvation and the sanctification of history, the Word and life, prayer and ministry, worship and mission, and tradition and change. We pray that God’s abundant grace be with you! San Diego Korean United Methodist Church… First, we desire to be an honest church (Acts 2:42, 46-47). We clearly recognize that lying is a sin and believe that we must live honestly both inside and outside the church, at home, and at work. Second, we are a humble church. We clearly recognize that pride is the greatest sin of all, and we humbly seek God’s help. Therefore, we desire to be a church that confesses daily to God, “Lord, have mercy on me, I am a sinner.” Third, we desire to be a church overflowing with grace. We are a church that longs for God’s presence during worship and desires to experience His powerful presence in person. We offer not formal worship, but living, moving worship. Fourth, we are a church that always prays for our children. We are not a church where only parents believe in Jesus, but a church that does its best to pray and nurture children so that they too can believe in Him. Fifth, we are a church that cultivates disciples of Jesus. We are not a church that cultivates fans who only talk loudly, saying, “Lord, Lord,” but a church that cultivates disciples of Jesus who carry their cross and follow Him. A disciple of Jesus is someone who is willing to die for the gospel. The owner of the San Diego Korean United Methodist Church is Jesus Christ. No pastor, elder, deacon, or anyone else acts as if they own the church. We welcome and bless you in the name of the Lord. We invite you, hoping to build a happy church together.

샌디에고한인연합감리교회의
본 교회는 1978년에 창립된, 샌디에고 지역에 처음 세워진 교회 중의
한 교회입니다. 이민 1세와 2세가 함께 하나님을 섬기며 예배하는 사명을
신실히 감당하고자 노력하고 있습니다. 지역사회 선교와 세계선교,
개인 구원과 역사의 성화, 말씀과 삶, 기도와 사역, 예배와 사명,
전통과 변화의 균형잡힌 교회가 되고자 합니다. 하나님의 풍성한
은혜가 함께 하시기를 기도합니다!
샌디에고 한인연합감리교회는…
첫째, 정직한 교회가 되기 원합니다.(사도행전 2:42, 46~47)
거짓이 죄라는 것을 분명히 알고, 교회 안에서나 밖에서나 가정에서나 일터에서나 정직하게 살아야 한다고 믿는 교회입니다.
둘째, 겸손한 교회입니다.
교만이 무엇보다 큰 죄라는 것을 분명히 알고, 겸손하게 하나님의 도우심을 구하는 교회입니다. 그래서 날마다 하나님 앞에 `주여 나는 죄인입니다, 불쌍히 여기소서.` 고백하는 교회가 되길 원합니다.
셋째, 은혜가 넘치는 교회입니다.
예배 때 하나님의 임재를 사모하고, 하나님의 강한 임재를 실제로 체험하기 원하는 교회입니다.
형식적인 예배가 아니라 살아 있고, 감격이 있는 예배를 드리고 있습니다.
넷째, 자녀들을 위해 항상 기도하는 교회입니다.
부모만 예수님을 잘 믿는 교회가 아니라, 자녀들도 예수님을 잘 믿게 하기 위해 기도와 양육에 최선을 다하는 교회입니다.
다섯째, 예수님의 제자들을 길러내는 교회입니다.
주여, 주여 말만 무성한 팬들을 양성하는 교회가 아니라, 십자가를 지고 주님을 따르는 예수님의 제자를 키워내는 교회입니다. 복음을 위해 죽을 수 있는 사람이 예수님의 제자입니다.

The San Diego Korean United Methodist Church…
first, desires to be an honest church. (Acts 2:42, 46-47)
We clearly recognize that lying is a sin
and believe that we must live honestly both inside and outside the church, at home, and at work.
Second, we are a humble church. We clearly recognize that pride is the greatest sin of all, and we humbly seek God’s help. Therefore, we desire to be a church that confesses before God every day, “Lord, have mercy on me, a sinner.”
Third, we are a church overflowing with grace. We long for God’s presence during worship and desire to experience His powerful presence in person. We offer worship that is not merely formal, but alive and moving.
Fourth, we are a church that constantly prays for our children. We are not a church where only parents believe in Jesus, but a church that dedicates itself to prayer and nurturing children to believe in Him as well.
Fifth, we are a church that cultivates disciples of Jesus. Lord, Lord, we are not a church that cultivates fanboys who only talk nonsense. We are a church that cultivates disciples of Jesus who carry their crosses and follow the Lord. A disciple of Jesus is someone who is willing to die for the gospel.
