LOCAL SPOTLIGHT
Clairemont-Area Coffee Shop Crawl
Sure, you can find Starbucks on nearly any corner. But why not support local instead? The Clairemont area has several hidden gem coffee shops that blend innovative coffee and tea drinks—some that seem almost too pretty to drink. We say almost because we know they are too scrumptious not to drink.
Check out our latest blog post, where we scoured Clairemont, Kearny Mesa, Linda Vista, and Serra Mesa to bring you a curated list of locally-owned coffee shops.
Wanna skip straight to the Coffee Shop Crawl map instead? Check it out here.

COMMUNITY & CIVIL NEWS
Cadman Cell Tower-DENIED
Last week, we touched on the proposed 70-foot AT&T cell phone tower at Cadman Park. Residents fought back, and AT&T withdrew its proposal. The Clairemont Hilltopper’s League Facebook page shared this comment from Andrew Bissell, who was leading the petition charge:
“I am thrilled to share some fantastic news with you all! AT&T has officially withdrawn its proposal to install a cell tower in Cadman Park. This decision reflects our collective efforts and dedication to preserving the natural beauty and integrity of our beloved park. Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to our community. Let’s continue to celebrate this victory and work together for a vibrant and harmonious environment for everyone.”
Second Chances For Get It Done
If it’s been a while since you’ve used the Get It Done app, and part of the reason is because you felt more like it was the Don’t Get It Done app, you’re not alone. But we all deserve second chances, right?
Community Relations Officer Anderson Brown wants the community to know the app has had a little behind-the-scenes glow-up. Officer Brown says issues reported via the app are being addressed much quicker than before, and you can easily view the status of reports online.
Insider Tip: Officer Brown said filing multiple reports can help move things along even quicker. But these have to come from different people. So if you’re out on a walk with friends and come across graffiti, you and your friends should all file a report on the same issue.

PERSON OF THE WEEK
Our Very Own MLB-er
Take me out to the Big League! Congrats to our very own Clairemont Chieftain alumnus, Zach Daudet. Zach, a 2021 grad of Clairemont High and Cal Poly’s first baseman, was selected by the Houston Astros in the 10th round of the Major League Baseball draft earlier this week. Celebrate with some peanuts and Cracker Jack, Zach! Clairemont is rooting for your success.
