LOCAL NEWS
Community News
The Serra Mesa Community Council held its quarterly meeting this past Tuesday. Topics of discussion were SB 79 and the increased upzoning stipulations being mandated to San Diego by the state. Residents are encouraged to contact Gavin Newsom with concerns or encouragement before the bill is signed in October.
SDSU students from the Aztecs Rock Hunger program also presented at the meeting. Their purpose is to support students experiencing food insecurity, housing insecurity, or other forms of crisis. Interested parties can donate to the cause.
Local Lockdown
Clairemont High School went into lockdown on Monday, and Marston Middle School quickly followed, after a threat was called into the high school. Fortunately, after a safety sweep, it was determined that the threat was unfounded.
